In April of 2022, the Elko County School District (ECSD) contracted with MGT of America Consulting, LLC (MGT) to develop a facility assessment plan report to address the long-term facility needs of the schools. The goal of the School Facility Master Plan was to establish a facility assessment report based on input from the community, using best practice facility standards, that identified and prioritized the facility needs, and presented an effective and efficient implementation of projects over the planning period. MGT completed their final report in December of 2022.

As a key part of developing the facility assessment report, Elko County School District invited the public to provide feedback on the condition and functionality of ECSD facilities. These sessions were held during the week of September 19-22, 2022 at various locations throughout the district. The results from these public input sessions were tabulated to guide the long-range planning of ECSD facilities.
